Yekatit 12 Hospital Medical College upholds research as one of its three foundational pillars. The college's research endeavours are geared towards advancing the development of the country and the region, nurturing specialists equipped with fundamental research competencies, and addressing multidisciplinary community challenges. Our aim is to produce knowledge that informs strategic development policies and fosters positive societal change.

Since its inception, Yekatit 12 Hospital Medical College has been actively engaged in a range of research initiatives focused on identifying community needs and conducting applied research projects, including large-scale endeavours aligned with the college's thematic areas. These efforts are coordinated by the Research and Publication Office (RPO) in collaboration with stakeholders, with a focus on serving the community and fostering integration for impactful outcomes.

The RPO, structured into research, publication, and technology transfer units, operates in tandem with the college's leadership and departments to cultivate a vibrant research culture. Through close collaboration, we strive to disseminate research findings effectively, promote continuous learning, and prepare the next generation of Ethiopian scholars.

In pursuit of our mission, Yekatit 12 Hospital Medical College endeavours to establish research centers and sites that facilitate collaboration among researchers, students, and industry partners.
